I received a mail from Greenpeace Argentina and I was supposed to call the Danish Embassy, in order to leave a message about the Greenpeace activists who were in jail , because they interrupted the Climate Gathering (or meeting) in Copenhaguen.
Well there was a message machine telling me in Spanish and in Danish that the Embassy was closed ( maybe because of Christmas holidays), but they didn´t leave a space for me to leave my message. It was only for Danish people. But the Embassy is in Argentina, or am I wrong?
And I wasn´t born when people from all over the world came to Argentina to scape from war and hunger...They were received, I believe, quite well, because they stayed in this new country and they founded a family and had new jobs.
So I , Susana, think it´s quite awful the way the Embassy answers the phone with a message so cold and egoistic . I wanted to speak about the Greenpeace activists and ask the Government of that country to listen to my request...
Impossible...A voice ( in the recorded message, of course) said to Danish people in Spanish and Danish, that the Embassy was closed and "if the caller was Danish," he could mark 9 and the message would be received in Denmark...As I wasn´t Danish I had to hang up. I couldn´t ask the Danish Government to free Greenpeace people, who were asking the meeting to listen to their pleas about weather changing...
But apart from that, what about education, human rights...and so on...

MURIO MONICA CARRANZA

Hoy murió Mónica Carranza.

Todos los porteños debieran rendirle honores.

Dedicó su vida a la niñez en calle. Sí, su vida…Siempre los ayudó como pudo. Ella conocía sus angustias , sus enojos, sus vicios, porque ella fue una niña en situación de calle...

Hasta que llegó a ver realizados sus sueños, sus “grandes sueños”. Construir un hogar para los que ella llamó “caras sucias” y yo diría “almas blancas”….

Sí, nos mostró a todos. Los que hablamos o escribimos, pero “no hacemos”, que se puede. Sí,” se puede”…Levantó el hogar ladrillo por ladrillo…No es una obra monumental, pero para lo que ella poseía, sí lo es. Miró y ayudó a poner ladrillo sobre ladrillo…Sí, ayudó con sus manos. Sus manos , que debieron ser ásperas, pero que debieron dar toda la ternura, todo el consuelo que “los caras sucias” necesitaron.

Nunca fui a su hogar…Por pereza…Hace casi 20 años que oigo hablar de ella por TV o por la radio. Siempre la admiré…Contribuí alguna vez a su obra, que creía que nunca estaría terminada. Pero sí, , sí,…se terminó la pudo ver antes de morir…

Sus hijos prometieron seguir con su obra…

Gracias,…gracias,…querida Mónica, gracias en nombre de la niñez con pobreza, con carencias…

La niñez en la calle, sin papá y mamá, la niñez triste y sola,…

No estarás más para acariciarlos, para darles “el plato de sopa” que decías,…pero , Mónica Carranza, estarás siempre en mi recuerdo, entre los grandes,…”los hacedores”…

CORPORACION O COOPERACION

Hay en la Argentina , en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, algo digno de “encomio”

Una empresa textil, abandonada por sus dueños ,en la crisis económica del 2001, que dejaron al irse un tendal de “trabajadores” sin trabajo, sin “pan” para llevar a sus hogares, “en la vía pública” o sea “en la calle.”

Estos trabajadores se reunieron para hablar de sus problemas y llegaron a la conclusión que podían, ya que el inmueble fue abandonado junto con las maquinarias por sus dueños, unirse y hacer una auto-gestión (es decir una cooperativa, una pyme, una unión sin fines de lucro, donde las ganancias fueran repartidas en partes iguales a todos los trabajadores).

La antigua fábrica textil, era llamada Brückman. No sé bien como la llaman ahora, si por otro nombre, por Ex casa Brückman o cómo , pero no puedo dejar, por el momento, de elogiar a los trabajadores, cuyo vocero afirma que los obreros no son de la identidad política del jefe de gobierno de la ciudad de Bs As, o incluso del gobierno nacional, por lo tanto , hasta ahora, lamentablemente, debieron arreglárselas solos, sin subsidios.

Pero bien lo hicieron, porque a pesar que las ganancias no son grandes, les permiten a todos sus trabajadores, vivir “una vida digna”.

Desde aquí espero ser leída por suficientes personas que lo comentarán y así se sabrá que unidos y trabajando duro, , con iguales oportunidades para todos, se puede lograr, “éxito”.

El Bauen Hotel, un antes ( y también ahora afortunadamente) ;hermoso espacio para turistas del interior o exterior del país, ubicado en la calle Callao, fue abandonado por sus dueños en los años de crisis. Los trabajadores se reunieron y llegaron a la conclusión que con “mucho trabajo y dedicación”, podrían arreglarlo, limpiarlo y aggiornarlo para que volviera a funcionar.

Así lo hicieron y ahora se auto gestiona. Todos reciben el mismo dinero como sueldo. Todavía las ganancias no son grandes, pero sus ahora dueños, esperan que vuelva a ser tan importante como lo fue..

Quieren ser dueños del inmueble y lo están gestionando ante la Justicia.

Ahora y que sea para siempre, éxito.

El Galpón es un gran galpón (como lo dice su nombre) , abandonado por sus dueños, o quizás el Estado .

Están en el lugar alrededor de 200 familias, que venden diversos productos referidos a la alimentación.

Se venden comidas, lácteos, especies, hay un centro cultural, ayuda médica y sicológica . Es decir, es un centro “importante para la comunidad”.Pero, lamentablemente, está en peligro de desalojo. Por supuesto es un predio extenso y está en un lugar importante en el barrio de Chacarita . Es un lugar excelente para construir edficios altos, pero estas personas que durante 10 largos años lo cuidan y limpian y alberga su negocio se oponen y desean hacer conocer a la comunidad su pedido.

Antes, las autoridades , no recibían sus pedidos de alquilarlo y ahora exigen un alquiler exhorbitante o que dejen el lugar. No es justo.

LOS DIPUTADOS NACIONALES O LOS LEGISLADORES DE LA CIUDAD DEBEN AYUDAR A TODOS ESTOS EMPRENDIMIENTOS JUSTOS Y DIGNOS DE LA CIUDADANIA.

SON GENTE COMPROMETIDA Y RESPONSABLE.

EL CENTRO DE JUBILADOS DE yERBAL ESTA OTRA VEZ EN MANOS DE SUS LEGITIMOS DUEÑOS

Hoy, las auroridades del Centro de jubilados de Flores, el Defensor de la Tercera Edad,Sr. Semino, un escribano y un cerrajero procedieron a abrir las puertas del Centro .
Varios jubilados estaban de pie frente a las puertas abiertas del Centro Y aplaudieron cuando salieron las autoridades a comunicar a los presentes , que podían entrar.
Estaban "todos" muy emocionados. Había triunfado la Justicia. El Centro había hecho un recurso de amparo a la Justicia y un juez dictaminó que si el día lunes 21 de enero, no se había entregado el Centro a sus legítimos dueños, "los jubilados", se podía romper el candado y entrar.
Los jubilados entraron, muy emocionados y alegres, cantaron el Himno Nacional Argentino y aplaudieron
.Estaban en "su casa".
el Sr. Semino instó a las autoridades a abrir el centro a la comunidad. Organizar eventos culturales ( gratis , por supuesto ) y publicitarlos . Invitar a los diputados y a las Autoridades a concurrir .Estoy muy feliz . Ojalá otros problemas que tengo, porque nunca faltan, se solucionaran tan rápidamente. En realidad pasaron sólo 2 meses.

FRACASÓ EL ACUERDO EN LA CUMBRE DE COPENHAGUE

Hola SUSANA ESTHER,
Ha sido una noche muy difícil para todos. La cumbre de Copenhague finalizó y no se llegó a un acuerdo que sea justo, ambicioso y obligatorio. Más de 15 millones de personas en todo el mundo exigieron un acuerdo efectivo para proteger el clima, activistas de Greenpeace y otras ONG´s están presos por exigir a los políticos un acuerdo responsable y, sin embargo, los representantes de las principales economías del mundo no han tomado las medidas necesarias para salvar al planeta de una catástrofe climática.

Por eso, antes que nada, necesitamos que difundas este mensaje, hagas saber la verdad sobre lo que ha ocurrido y nos ayudes a cambiar el futuro.

Los primeros mandatarios de los países más poderosos del mundo dejaron ayer la Cumbre de Copenhague sin llegar a un acuerdo para reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero tal como la ciencia recomienda para evitar una catástrofe climática.

Ellos nos quieren hacer creer que firmaron un acuerdo exitoso pero juntos podemos asegurarnos de que se sepa la verdad. Si todo el mundo sabe que no se consiguió en Copenhague el acuerdo que el planeta necesita, aún tendremos una oportunidad para detener el cambio climático antes que sea demasiado tarde.

El mundo se enfrenta a una trágica crisis. En lugar de unirse para garantizar un futuro mejor para todos, en Copenhague, los negociadores más influyentes traicionaron a las generaciones futuras y actuales.

De todas maneras esto no terminó, millones de personas exigieron un acuerdo efectivo antes de que la cumbre empezase y lo siguen exigiendo todavía. Aún podemos salvar al mundo de la devastación que producirá un cambio climático fuera de control.

Realmente , estoy desilusionada por la actitud de los países del primer mundo. Si no les importa la vida futura en el planeta Tierra, qué les puede importar?

NO A LA MINA PASCUA LAMA

Grandísimos depósitos de oro, plata y otros minerales han sido encontrados bajos los glaciares.

Para llegar hasta ellos será necesario quebrar y destruir los glaciares -algo nunca concebido en la historia del mundo- y hacer 2 grandísimos huecos, cada uno tan grande como una montaña, uno para la
extracción y otro para el deshecho de la mina.

El proyecto se llama PASCUA LAMA. La compañía se llama Barrick Gold. La operación esta siendo planeada por una multinacional de la cual es miembro George Bush padre...

El gobierno Chileno ha aprobado el proyecto para que empiece este año. La Única razón por la cual no ha empezado aún, es porque los campesinos han obtenido un aplazamiento.

Si destruyen los glaciares, no solamente destruirán la fuente de un agua especialmente pura, pero contaminarán permanentemente los 2 ríos de tal forma que nunca volverán a ser aptos para consumo por humanos o animales debido al uso de cianuro y ácido sulfúrico en el proceso de extracción.

Hasta el último gramo de oro será enviado a la multinacional en el extranjero y ni uno le quedará a la gente a quien le pertenece esta tierra .

A ellos solo les quedará el agua envenenada y las enfermedades consiguientes. Los campesinos llevan bastante tiempo peleando por su tierra, pero no han podido recurrir a la TV por una prohibición del Ministerio del Interior.

Su única esperanza para frenar este proyecto es obtener ayuda de la justicia Internacional.

El mundo debe enterarse de lo que esta pasando en Chile .... El lugar por donde empezar a cambiar el mundo es nuestro lugar.

The law of potentiality

Sorry, it’s Ester again…

For the moment, no more politics.

It’s a very difficult task I´ve begun and of course, I have to go on with it..

To send you my poor interpretation of the 7 laws of success ,by Chopra.( For me it’s not “success” it’s to be “blissed”, because you can obtain in life, what you want most)…

At this moment , where I humbly think , that many people are lost, I believe that this law , encourages us to believe ”the road to bliss “is possible…When we find out” clearly” ,“what” , is in our unconsciousness , we have to bring it to pure consciousness, and then realize,that we are “potent”, that it is only because of our inner strength and energy, that our “goal” is possible.

An important law of Chopra ,is the law of potentiality.

My God,! I read it and read it to understand what he says , very intelligently,…and I come to the conclusión that ,we humans, are in our pure essential or most important state ,” pure consciousness”.That is to say, in my poor knowledge, we are conscious of what we are. (It’s well known to all of us that the use of drugs , will change this)…

So, we are the architect of our future life…There’s a field of energy for us, it’s ours…And it will be easier for us to obtain this , to submerge in it, to make it ours ,if we spend moments , during the day, of “silence or meditation ( which is silence, of course),” but specially “not to judge” . As the Bible says, “judge not ye, and be not judged”.

Also, to spend more time in nature will help us…

What’s more, we’ll create, we’ll be free, and we’ll be blissed…

I am at a loss (2nd part)

People are shouting in some newspapers, TV, and radio programs, about "insecurity"...the problem is "real" and the president doesn´t "hear complaints"or pay any attention. to them" . She goes on with her speeches ,which are good, she has the "power of expressing herself quite fluently and intelligently , with exceptions,( "the Bala train" with France, it was considered a joke, to me and others...., my God, we don´t have railways, people travel worse than cattle and she came around with "that "... Not a word is now heard about the BALA ).
But, strangely enough, a theme has grown and grown in Argentina, the origin of which is uncertain…People from the upper class , middle class and strangely enough, lower class ( in which peronism had the largest number of votes), “don’t like her”, or “hate her”,or “don’t want to hear her name”, or”don’t want to listen to her voice”…
At first, they criticized her expensive attires, her esthetic surgeries ( of which they didn’t know anything, they just imagined)…But this theme:”hate the president” , grew and grew, I don’t really know the “cause” (if they were increased by criticisms from Clarín and other Groups, which are growing and growing and never stop…) I remember, they criticized her opening speech when she was elected President of Argentina.,…then two speeches against the campo owners ( I realize now, that citizens, always defend the “patrones del campo”, I think that they live in the past and they defend the cows, the milk , the peones or "owners getting up at 5 in the morning to take care of the land"),…( their food , of course) and they don’t accept that those “patrones del campo”, plant “soja” and only “soja” now, because it is a “wonderful business”, (they need tractors and less “peones”). Soja grows like weed, and then they harvest it and sell it to the First World , to feed cows in China or as fuel …It’s perfect and they are not going to stop it. .Argentina is called “the green country”…The ecologists were angry... The government doesn’t want to stop this madness, it wants to obtain “its part” , that is to say the tax money, ( which is of couse, correct.They need the money to “govern”, to build schools, roads,hospitals, etc.)…It is correct "if" that money is used for those purposes... "Nobody cares about future“food” and its future prices"…
A very important suject is dismount.It is made inescrupulously by land owners or great companies ( multinational) , only to plant "soja".They change the biodiversity of the land, and increase,illnesses like "dengue" and Chagas...
Apart from being a mono culture it is very harmful , because they use very strong chemicals , which poison the land and the air .
This brings about another subject that worries me, it's the fact that" citizens are not informed about , open sky mining."They must know, if the exploitation of the mine will be safe, if no contamination of soil and water will take place, the money the province is going to receive from the multinational group, for how long will the exploitation take place And the important thing, people from the province must be allowed to know everything about the the contract and , the word of the citizens of the province will decide , by vote, if the mine will take place or not.
And about "the aquífero Guaraní", if the countries that own it , among which is Argentina take good care of that precious possession. Articles have been published about the buying of the land over the Aquifero .
These subjects are very important and citizens must know about them , and take decisions. Government "must" consult the people about this matter.
All the good acts of government,1) the increase of money paid to “jubilados”,2) the fact. that they put into practice, the “jubilación para amas de casa”,3) the nationalization of the funds of “private pensions”, which was a wonderful business for private firms (which used the money from future “jubilados privados” , to do their own private business),4) the univesal sum they pay for children under 14, whose parents are unemployed or employed “en negro”Also 5) the "ley de medios", (something like, media should be in the correct hands, neither government, nor oligo-private hands.Because Media are the 4th power , so it has to be in the correct hands.People have the right to be informed with the truth...
THOSE ARE GOOD ACTS OF GOVERNMENT, but they are criticized by opponents, saying that in a year, the gov. will have no money in ANSES to pay all those benefits.They are all fortune tellers, but the majority of the people gives them credit,nevertheless citizens have to be consulted at all times about important acts of government.
Citizens are divided into officialists and opponents,( as it was 50 years ago “peronistas y antiperonistas”).
But if you ask an Argentino to give you the name of a standing president in their country , they say:, “Perón”…
This year criticisms grew and grew… And if you daresay “I think the gov. is OK, people will look at you as if you were crazy or something…Why not give credit to the gov. in all the good acts of gov and criticize the incorrect ones?...
And there is another subject that is driving people “mad” , yes, “mad”, the “inseguridad”…This is also increased by the media ( Clarín and others)…
But it’s true that, in some neighbourhoods, people stay "at home" from 7 pm on, or take taxies if they have to go out , and they can afford them, because adolescents or kids rob their pocket money or their cells, and one never knows what they are capable of, if they are in the need of drugs. And I mean "paco", a garbage of the remains of drug distillation, that kills their brain cells and transforms them into " zombies",...
There are also armed adults, who steal people´s cars and sometimes ,kills them...(I believe it´s also to obtain drugs...or under the effect of drugs.)
If a person like Giuliani improved security and order in New Cork city , about 20 years ago , why can´t we find a Major or a" jefe de gobierno" or whatever the name be , instead of this "business man " we have now? He doesn't care about education, health, justice...He cares about "business", for him to govern a city like Bs As. is to do "business"...
But , of course we have to wait and vote intelligently....
I think "the moment has come" , for a person with true ideals of welfare , solidarity, intelligence, strength, a good police force ( even if half the force has to retire and employ new people) , justice,and of course voted by the people... a good President , whatever his political party is, to govern us , without corruption, and "to unite Argentines", we are divided, stupidly divided,shouting "no" to every act of government, good or bad, we are very angry about "everything", we do not think, we do not process our thoughts, and we do not come to the conclusion that the only important thing is "the welfare of Argentina"...
We must come to the conclusion that "leaders" are important in a country...( and the cliche of "we don´t need a father"..".we must act like adults"...isn´t so "clear" anymore...)
Now, at the end of the road, (as I am a person from the emerging world , who had the good fortune of having obtained "human rights", a roof , a family, food, clothes, love, a University degree....), I ask myself why are things worse, for people in emerging countries, at the moment?...Each time , it is a little more difficult to live, lo eat, to dress,to study...Why?
Maybe because grannies have more time to think about and worry about ,.. important things ,I would like to help the "poor" the best I can. I have little money, so let it be ..."words". Write about it. Let others read my words and maybe they´ll say: it´s all right! We have to help the poor...how?Ah!, there is the root of the problem...And they will, also "think about the problems that are becoming too important and should be solved"
That help "must" be "ideas” to improve the lives of the poor, not money,...money is only a temporary solution.
That´s why I am with this government , related to peronism , the "third position" and the importance of the " State."
As it´s a gov. related to the Peronist Party , it´s "for the people", that is to say for "the working class".
Manual work, technological work, investigation work,will do "a lot" for our country.
